At approximately 6:45 AM on Australia Day, thieves used a truck to break through the front gates, entered through a side door, and stole the team’s pitstop practice car before fleeing with the truck. The force of the break-in completely removed the front gates from their rails.
In a statement on their official Facebook page, Team 18 addressed public inquiries about the theft: “We’ve had a lot of questions on the recent theft of our pit stop car from our team’s headquarters. Therefore, we have decided to release this security vision of the robbery taking place to assist in our investigation.” The post urges anyone who recognizes the vehicles involved to come forward with information.

Investigation and Security Concerns

The heist was quick and precise, raising concerns about security at Supercars team facilities. Given the car’s distinct appearance and modifications, reselling or hiding it could be difficult.
